Well… it didn’t take long for me to veer off course from my carefully chosen July TBR. I picked up The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes last night—and let’s just say, sleep didn’t stand a chance. I was hooked and didn’t put it down until midnight.

This book is so good. If you’re a fan of Criminal Minds and love fast-paced mysteries with clever teenage protagonists, this is your next must-read. It’s basically Criminal Minds meets YA thriller in the best possible way. Think high-stakes profiling, a secret government program, and a killer on the loose. What more could I ask for?

I’m nearly finished and loving every minute of it. If you like twisty plots, sharp dialogue, and just the right amount of creep factor, I highly recommend picking this one up.

I may not be sticking to my TBR, but I am having a great time doing it. Sometimes the best reads are the unexpected ones!
